4th and 6th at Spa Testing went very well for the British driver ending up 1st at the end of Free Practice. With other drivers finding more time qualifying was a slightly different story, with the number 154 Mosler ending up 4th at the end of the 45 minute session.

Race 1 started dry and it was Ben who took the green flag. It wasn’t long before the famous Spa weather was playing its part and after a heavy down poor, a great strategic decision by the team placed the duo 3rd before the driver changes. A good pit stop and Spanish driver Alberto De Martin jumped in, in what were now awful conditions. A good stint, and well aware of problems for his championship rivals, the Spanish driver brought the car home in a good 6th.

Race 2 followed much the same pattern as the first, again the experienced British driver starting on slicks. As the driver change window approached, the rain came down, making for an interesting couple of laps on slicks in the wet, as everyone waited for the driver change window to open. The Escuela Española de Pilotos run Mosler was running in 3rd shortly after the stops with Spaniard on board. A brilliant stint from Alberto saw him hold on to 4th at the flag under huge pressure, from the 2 cars behind, with less than 0.6 covering them at the end of the 1.5 hour race. The result saw them take the Championship lead.

Ben was very happy afterwards “What a great weekend. To race at Spa is such a privilege; it is just a fantastic circuit! The weather played its part, so you could never really relax, but it was really good racing and I’m very happy to help Alberto get into the Championship lead.”
