Challenging Weekend at Sonoma Qualifying went well and the Kinetic Motorsport duo qualified 3rd and 4th in the 25 car strong field.

Sonoma is notoriously hard on tyres, due to 2 very tight hairpins in the 2.5 mile circuit. This proved to be the case, after some good initial laps, the Kia duo ran 3rd and 4th, but it wasnít long before they began to lose front grip and dropped to 9th and 11th by the flag.

After making some changes overnight Ben was confident going into race 2 after his 9th from the previous day. A good start saw him up to 3rd from 5th by the end of lap 1. During lap 2 though disaster struck and he was hit hard from behind, sending him into the tyre barrier.

Ben was frustrated afterwards. ďThat was a tough weekend! Obviously race 1 was disappointing, especially after such a strong qualifying. When youíre having a difficult weekend, you just want to bring home the car and score as many points as you can. What happened in race 2 was crazy. I was hit up the back exiting the corner, sending me straight into the wall. The other driverís got a penalty, but that clearly doesnít get our points back. I feel sorry for all the guys in the team that now have all this work before Laguna. Iíll just put this one down to experience and try to bounce back with a good result at the final round.
