Tough weekend at Mid-Ohio The tight, twisty nature of the track didnít quite suit the 2 litre Optima Turbo, as much as the open, flowing curves of Road America. The number 36 Donorschoose.org Kia eventually lined up a slightly disappointing 14th at the end of the 30 minute qualifying session, having been 8th in testing.

As race 1 got underway the experienced British driver knew he had work to do, and it wasnít long before he was inside the top 10, looking to make up further spots. A nice move 2 corners from home saw him finish 9th as the chequered flew.

Again Ben lined up 14th for race 2 eager to make up further ground through the field this time. A good first lap saw him move up to 11th, and another good move shortly after put him again in the top 10, moving up to 9th by the flag.

Ben was slightly disappointed afterwards ďThat was a tough weekend. Iím not sure what happened in qualifying, as I lost a lot of pace compared to testing. Itís difficult to overtake around here, and with the pace we had, 9th was probably the best we could end up. It was nice to get some points in both races, but it weíve definitely had stronger weekends. I canít wait to get to Miller now and put this one behind meĒ.
