2nd in Paul Ricard 4 hour Testing went well with the number 10 Mosler setting the fastest time, giving everyone confidence going into qualifying. As rain threatened in qualifying, Ben jumped in earlier than expected and managed to put the Escuela Española de Pilotos run car on pole.

Unfortunately this was short lived as a Ferrari improved in the dying moments,
meaning they had to settle for 2nd when the chequered flag came out.

Pedro started the 4 hour race and did a good stint before giving the car to Francisco. Despite being on old tyres, the Portuguese set impressive lap times cementing the teams position near the top of the charts. Next it was Ben’s turn. As the final pitstops unfolded, with the young Brit putting in some quick, consistent laps, the Escuela Española de Pilotos eventually came home in 3rd (later promoted to 2nd) giving the team their best result of the year and first podium.

Ben was delighted afterwards; “That was a great effort by everyone. Running a new car this year we were bound to have some teething problems, so to get this podium is fantastic and a great testament to the work Escuela Española de Pilotos have done. All the drivers did good stints and Francisco did a great job on very old tyres, so all in all it’s been a very pleasing weekend. I can’t wait for the next one!”
