2nd in Scorching Heat in Estoril Things started promisingly for the duo with good pace throughout both free practice sessions.

The Estoril round of the championship slightly deviated from the normal Spanish GT format. It was a longer race of 2 hours 10 minutes with 2 qualifying sessions, and each driverís time was added together to form the grid.

Ben jumped in for session 1 and was able to produce a good lap to secure pole for his session. Next up was Francisco lapping faster than he ever had before, finishing the 20 minutes with the 3rd fastest time, meaning they would line up 3rd for the race.

The young Brit started the race, and by the end of lap 1, the number 32 Ginetta was already in the lead, a place it would maintain until the first round of pitstops. As all the pitstops and handicaps came to pass, the Lisbon based driver competing in his home race found himself in 2nd. Lapping consistent quick times during his stint, he came in for the final pitstop having maintained their 2nd place, to hand the car back over for the final phase of the race. Despite his best efforts, Ben wasn't able to catch the leaders and they finished a good 2nd place.

Ben was happy afterwards. "It would have been nice to win, but it's been a good weekend. Francisco has done a really great job, lapping over a 1.5 seconds faster than he ever has before. We led the race at stages and managed to end up on the podium, so I don't think we can be too unhappy."
